The Library offers a wealth of resources and services that you should know about. Our open house is designed to be an informal opportunity to discover the different ways the Library is ready to support you and the courses you teach. Stop by and learn what the Library can do for you!

Library Spaces

Building access starts on Monday, January 11th

  • 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
  • Closed weekends and State Holidays.

Currently, access is restricted to University of Hawaiʻi students and employees. Reservations are required for the following:

  • Seating
    • Study tables (2)
    • Study pods (3)
  • Desktop computers
    • PCs (6)
    • DMED/TV PRO Mac Pro (3)
  • Printing, scanning, and copying

Grab & Go Services

Reservations are required for item pick up. Make an appointment for the following:

  • Book paging and resource sharing between University of Hawaiʻi libraries
  • Course reserve scanning
  • Mobile Print Pickup
  • Fee and fine payments
    • In-person - cash only
    • Manoa Hamilton Library - credit card via phone
  • Technology
    • 30 laptops (on-campus use)
    • 5 DMED laptops (on-campus use)
    • 15 iPads (on-campus use)
    • Semester Loan Laptops (ask for more information)

Waiʻanae Moku Services

Research Support

Borrowing & Returning Books

  • To request a book from the library, first, check if the item is available at Waiʻanae Moku. If the item is available, see the librarian during in-person service hours or e-mail the library directly to borrow the item.
  • If the item you are looking for is not part of the Waiʻanae Moku collection, request it via our online search platform, Primo. When prompted choose "Leeward CC Waianae Moku" from the Pick-Up Location menu. You will be notified via e-mail when your item is available for pick up. Pick up and drop off library items at either the front desk or the library service desk at the back of the common area.

Personalized Services

Assistance is available via chat, Zoom, email, or phone. 

  • Library Instruction - sessions can be tailored to your specific classes and assignments.
  • LibGuides - custom online guides can be created for your classes and assignments.
  • Library Resources - linking to articles, ebooks, and videos on Laulima course sites.
  • Individual consultation - schedule one-on-one appointments with subject librarians.
