Find Periodical Articles (newspapers, magazines, journals)

Periodicals are a good source for current information, because they are typically published more quickly than books.

Article Search Tools

Online research databases let you search for periodical articles from many thousands of publications. General-coverage databases like Academic Search Complete and MasterFile Complete (both from EBSCOhost) cover a wide range of topics. Specialized databases focus on specific fields like science, health, and education. The ProQuest US West Newsstream database covers the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, which is often your best source for current information about local topics.
