At the Writing Center, our friendly Writing Consultants are eager to assist students with writing assignments for any Leeward course. They also help students with scholarship essays, resumes, and cover letters. Furthermore, students can learn essential writing and success skills from our Focused Workshops. Faculty members may also reach out to us for class visits and workshops. Feel free to contact us or stop by for help!
In addition, various course-specific tutors are ready to help students in the LRC! We offer assistance for the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Hawaiian Language, Hawaiian Studies, Japanese, Oceanography, and Physiology. For faculty who would like to schedule in-class support, please contact us!
If students are interested in working with the Writing Center and LRC, please see Penji for course-specific availability to schedule an appointment with a tutor. Penji is both an app and a web-based platform that allows you to schedule an appointment and connect with our tutors. You can schedule an appointment up to 12 hours prior to the available time. Physiology Tutoring and Study Sessions
Nerve-ous for Anatomy and Physiology class? Don't stress. Flex your way to the Biology Open Lab located in BS 210 and join the A&P tutor for study sessions and drop-in tutoring! These sessions are hosted every Tuesday and Thursday from 12-4 pm. For exam prep sessions, students will have to fill out a form that will be emailed to them prior to the exam.
