Welcome! This guide was created to help Leeward CC English as a Second Language students and faculty find resources to improve their English language learning and teaching. While most of the resources featured on this guide are only available to Leeward Community College students and faculty, some of the online resources included are available to everyone.
Although this guide is intended for English as a Second Language learners and teachers, native speakers of English and English language composition teachers will find that many of the resources presented here are useful to them as well.

Our library provides access to a variety of print and electronic resources useful for ESL students and faculty. Those include dictionaries, thesauruses, writing manuals, grammars, vocabularies, test preparation guides, leveled books and more.
Print resources can be found throughout the upper level of the Leeward Community College library. Electronic resources can be accessed from our library website.
Reference Collection -- Located between the Periodicals and the Hawaiian and Pacific collections. The Reference Collection includes (but is not limited to) dictionaries, encyclopedias and lexicons.
General Collection -- Look for materials housed in the PE section. There you may find writing manuals, vocabularies, grammars, test preparation guides, a variety of dictionaries and more.
ESL Books Collection -- Located across the Periodicals collection, the ESL Books collection includes leveled books intended for English as a Second Language learners. For your convenience, the books in this collection are arranged by reading difficulty level.
ebooks and videos -- Electronic books, CDs and DVDs are available from PrimoSearch, our library catalog. Also, many of our ebooks and videos are available from some of our databases.
