July is Graphic Novels in Libraries Month!

Leeward CC Library's Graphic Novels CollectionWith the advent of the comic book prior to WWII, comics have touched on many themes throughout its history. Fiction, history, education, crime, horror, fantasy, and romance, have been presented in concise and entertaining packages. In more recent times, graphic novels have been able to surpass what comics have achieved. With outstanding artwork, superb storytelling, and the ability of not being limited to a few scant pages, graphic novels have become the go-to medium to explore issues that were once considered off limits.

If you didn't know, we have quite a few graphic novels in our book and eBook collections. Come by and browse selected titles on display!
