In this activity, we will delve deeper into the islands nations of Oceania. Each waka will present an Oceanic greeting along with a profile of that particular island nation. These profiles will not be a complete survey of each nation’s history; rather, they will provide a brief overview and help direct further inquiry. The island profile activity is also an exercise in researching and prioritizing information: there is a wealth of information for any given nation, but a finite amount of time to present...how will you determine what makes the cut? Make your decision collectively as a waka with a focus on one of the overarching themes from class.
