Use this sheet when you are ready to evaluate your source.  You may encounter exceptions to the rule and some sources may be more difficult to evaluate than others.  Ask your instructor or librarian for assistance if you have difficulty evaluating a source.

What is the CRAAP test?

CRAAP is the acronym for the five criteria used to evaluate the credibility of sources.  

Use the CRAAP test to evaluate the books and articles you find through the library's catalog and research databases and especially for sources found on the Web.
