ENG 16 & ESL 21/22 Information Literacy Tutorial: Library

Leeward Community College Library

Information Has Value

Information is valuable. Leeward students should know both their rights and responsibilities regarding the access and use of all information. Expert researchers:

  • Give credit by citing sources
  • Respect intellectual property
  • Understand how commodification ($$$) affects information

Please visit the ACRL Frame "Information Has Value" for more info

Collections

Print books are incredibly valuable. People have recorded knowledge in print for thousands of years before the internet. Most human wisdom is in print format and has yet to been digitized! Leeward Library acquires a broad range of valuable physical periodicals, books, videos, and more to support academic programs and course offerings. Popular print and video collections are briefly described here.
